Music "Punk" CD advertisement from the early 90's

Apparently somebody at the marketing company thought "punk" and "new wave" were synonymous back then!"Punk" must have meant something totally different from what I remember in the 70's & 80's!
I'm not sure which is worse, calling it "Punk" or making the actors wear those wigs.
